Otto Pletcher was born in Wright Co. Ia. May 15, 1893 and died at Goldfield, Iowa Jan 29 1920 from a collection of Spanish Influenza and Scarlet Fever. He was United in marriage to Anna Rasmussen on March 12, 1913. To this union were born Ruth, who survives him and Roy who preceded his father in death by only a few days. Mr. Pletcher was born and raised in Wright Co. and was respected and liked by all who knew him. He was an honest, industrious, progressive farmer, a type of sturdy manhood that has made this country great. It seems to us in our finite wisdom passing strange that such a desirable and worthy people as the Otto Pletcher's family should be afflicted as they were and should be called from among us when their usefulness was not passed ans seemingly many years of life and happiness should be before them, but we must submit to the inevitable. The funeral was held from the house on Friday afternoon. Rev. J. S. Nicholson conducting the services. The body was laid to rest beside his beloved ones in Glenwood Cemetary.
