Marjorie Anderson passed away Wednesday, November 28 in Ames. Funeral Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, December 1 at Adams Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
Marjorie was born May 24, 1924 in Clarion, Iowa, the daughter of George and Millicent (Bouma) Musfelt. They moved to Fort Dodge where she attended schools and worked for the Lutheran Hospital. She married Gordon Anderson February 15, 1947 at the St. Olaf Lutheran Church. They moved to Ames and were members of Bethesda Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the Married Couples Group. She also was active in Campfire Girls and bowling. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She worked at Mary Greeley Medical Center and McFarland Clinic retiring in 1985.
She is survived by her children: John (Jean) Anderson Anchorage, AK; Joyce (Steve) Tripmacker, Muscatine, IA; Carol (Derril) Marshall, Fremont, NE; Pam (Earl) McWilliams, Harrisville, RI; Kay Popelka, Ames; and Dean (Julie) Anderson, Daytona Beach, FL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, two brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
