Funeral Services for Eagle Grove Woman Held Monday Afternoon

May 6, 1858- 3 November 1928
EAGLE GROVE, Nov. 8.—Funeral services for Mrs. Thomas B. Cowan, 71, were held at the Congregational church Monday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Floyd D. Reeves, pastor of the church. Mrs, Cowan, whose maiden name was Louisa Wheatley, was born in Clinton, Ontario, Canada, May 6, 1858. She died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Roy Comstock, Eagle Grove. Mr. Cowan died in 1922. They were married at Clinton in 1877, and after living for a time at Lucan, Ontario, they moved to Webster City, but soon moved to Eagle Grove. In 1904 they moved to the farm near Goldfield where they lived until Mr. Cowan's death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy Comstock and Mrs. Norman Arne, both living In Eagle Grove; also four sisters and three brothers, living in or near Clinton, Ontario. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery Eagle Grove.
