EAGLE GROVE — Louis Jr. Michehl, 66, of Eagle Grove, died November 21, 2007 at Hamilton County Hospital. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. William VanNostrand officiating. Interment will be held in Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. today at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Louis Michehl, the son of Louie and Ada (Ricke) Michehl, was born on April 9, 1941 in Fort Dodge. He completed his high school education. Louis was united in marriage to Lois Dutcher on August 24, 1963 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. The couple made their home on a farm in rural Eagle Grove. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois in 1997. Louis was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. He loved spending time with his grandchildren; he enjoyed farming, raising livestock, collecting tractors and woodworking.

Survivors include his daughter Jacqueline “Jaci” Anderson and son-in-law Rod Anderson, of Eagle Grove; his grandchildren Kyle and Kara Anderson; his siblings Delmar (Beverly) Michehl, Ralph (Margaret) Michehl, Marian (Allen) Dencklau, Delores Dencklau, and Leila (Danny) Insko; his brother-in-law Milan Macek, sister-in-law Evelyn Michehl; many nieces, nephews and special close friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, his parents, his sister Darlene Macek, his brothers Earl, Willis, and brother-in-law Otto Dencklau Jr. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
