Gerald Eugene Bygness, 68, of Fort Dodge, died at home after a lengthy illness. At Gerald’s request his body is being cremated. Private services will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. The Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Gerald is survived by Shirley & John Woodbeck; Bev & Richard Buske; Ronald & Carole Bygness; Gary & Pamela Bygness all of Fort Dodge; Erick (Lee) Bygness of Pahrump, Nevada; Madeline Haverkamp of Remsen, Iowa; and Rose & Steven Samuels of Humboldt. He is preceded in death by his parents, Veva Gardner Bygness, Jeffrey B. Bygness; and a brother, Vernon.

Gerald was born September 28, 1939 and was a member of the Eagle Grove class of 1958. He loved life, family, and flying. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
