Phillip L. Larson, 51, of Eagle Grove, formerly of Anamosa, died Friday, Dec. 11, 1998, in Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, Humboldt, following a sudden illness. Services: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial arrangements are pending.

Survivors include his wife, Susie; three children, Rob of Ames, and Ashley and Christopher of Eagle Grove; his mother, Faith (Don) Burris of Anamosa; three brothers, David (Patti) Larson of Anamosa, Steven Bammert of Sycamore, Ill., and Jeff Larson of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Jane (Don) Althoff of Onslow; and a granddaughter, Adrianne. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Larson; maternal grandparents, Claude and Mertie Latta; paternal grandparents, Earl and Minnie Larson; two brothers-in-law, David Eilers and Michael Walker; and his father-in-law, William H. Eilers.

Phillip L. Larson was born Feb. 18, 1947, in Anamosa. He was the son of Ray and Faith Latta Larson. He received his education in Anamosa, graduating with the class of 1965, from Anamosa High School. He attended Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls, for two years. He was united in marriage with Susie Eilers on Nov. 18, 1967, in Congregational Church, Anamosa. Phillip was in the Ready Mix business in West Branch, and had been in the farm implement business for the last 26 years in New Mexico, Minnesota and Iowa. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Eagle Grove.
