IOWA FALLS—Robert Johnson, 79, of Iowa Falls, passed away on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at his home. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday, September 29, at the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls, with the Rev. Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Northlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa Falls. The Linn’s Funeral Home, Iowa Falls is in charge of the arrangements.

Robert Eugene Johnson, was born on July 14, 1928, at his parents’ home in Franklin County, the son of Clifford Melvin and Edith Irene (Williams) Johnson. He was baptized on Palm Sunday. He attended the Brick Country Grade School in Oakland Township and graduated from the Popejoy High School with the class of 1947. On December 25, 1949, Bob was united in marriage to Muriel Lucille Dawson at her parents’ home in Dows. To this union six children were born, James, Raymond, David, Thomas, Jerry and Janet. Bob worked for International Harvester as a mechanic, shop foreman and later for Case IH. After retiring Bob combined for the Jordahls and traveled with Muriel to 47 states and Canada delivering motor homes. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Iowa Falls and the Meadow Hills Golf Club, having served on their board of directors for many years.

Bob Johnson is survived by his wife, Muriel Johnson of Iowa Falls; his children, Jim (Tana) Johnson of Coal City, Illinois, Ray (Lorae) Johnson of West Des Moines, Dave (Jodi) Johnson of Lynnville, Tom (Rhonda) Johnson of Iowa Falls, Jerry (Teresa) Johnson of North Manchester, Indiana and Janet (Mike) Thompson of Boise, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Pat Schumacher of Alden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Edith Johnson; two brothers, Duane Johnson and Harold (Bus) Johnson; and one grandson, Timothy Johnson.
