Last Rites Thursday For Dows Man

Dows, Iowa, March 15, Claus Enghausen, age seventy-four, of Dows, passed away Sunday evening at the Clarion hospital after a seven weeks illness. Funeral services will held Thursday March 16th with a prayer service at 11:00 o'clock Thursday morning at the Van Hove funeral home and at 2:00 o'clock, at the First Lutheran church, in Dows. Rev. J. O. Langehough will conduct the last rites and burial will he made in Evergreen cemetery, at Clarion.

Claus Enghausen was born December 15, 1886 at Cropsey, Illinois, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Enghausen. He was married January 24, 1912 to Ida Sheppleman at Sibley. Illinois, and after their marriage they engaged in farming. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, LaVere of Galt, Mrs. Leo Martin, of Clarion, and Edith, of Waterloo, one son, Marion Enghausen of Galt, and four grandchildren. He is also survived by five brothers, Chris Enghausen, of Danville, Illinois. John Enghausen, of Minneapolis, Ben Enghausen of Sibley, Illinois. George Enghausen of Sibley, Illinois, and William Enghausen of Gibson City, Illinois and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Zanders of Clarion and Mrs. Emma Neubauer of Sibley, Illinois.
