Funeral Services to Be Held Thursday Morning at 10 a. m.

EAGLE GROVE — Funeral services for Mrs. W. G. Herrick who died at her residence early Tuesday morning, will be held at the Kubitschek and Kastler funeral parlors Thursday at 10 a. m., in charge of the Rev. A. S. Kilbourn of the Congregational church. Burial will be made in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove. Surviving are her husband and two sons, Dr. Percy Herrick, Scranton, and and George Herrick at Cedar Falls; also three grandchildren. She was born in Vermont and came to Clear Lake when a child. She lived in Mason City for a time, and has lived in Eagle Grove since 1915. Mr. and Mrs. Herrick are members of the Eagle Grove church.

Etta Belle Herrick, daughter of Percy Porter Mahan and Nicholas Mahan, was born in Danville, Vt. On October 29, 1865 and passed away at her home in Eagle Grove on Tuesday morning, Jan. 21, at the age of 75 years.

The family moved to Clear Lake when she was a young girl, later moving to Mason City, where on January 7, 1891 she was united in marriage to Will Herrick.

To this union two sons were born, George W. of Cedar Falls, and Dr. P. W. of Scranton.

She was a member of the Congregational church since childhood. For 48 years she was a member of the Eastern Star, and a charter member of the White Shrine of Jerusalem at Eagle Grove.

Surviving are the husband, two sons, two grandchildren, Joan and Karen, a niece, Mrs. C. A. Ramsey, and nephew, William Ramsey of St. Louis, Mo., and a nephew, Clarence Mahan, West Concord, Mass.

Funeral services were held at the Kubitschek and Kastler Funeral Home on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. Albert S. Kilbourn officiating. Appropriate duets were sung by Mrs. Fannie Cotton and Mrs. Vina Hall, with Mrs. Kate Martin as piano accompanist. Burial was in the family lot in Rose Hill cemetery.
