Wayne R. Rounds (1926-2007)

MANCHESTER –- Wayne R. Rounds, 81, formerly of Delhi, died Sunday, Sept. 16, at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, following a long illness. He was born Aug. 10, 1926, in Eagle Grove, son of Charles and Florence McVicker Rounds. On Aug. 2, 1953, he married Patsy J. Grubb in Waterloo. Mr. Rounds worked road construction, retiring in 1989.

Survivors include: his wife; two sons, Bruce (Sharon) of Cresco and Mike (Penny) of Peterson; three daughters, Joyce (Gary) Johannsen of Wellsburg, Connie Jones of Hiawatha and Vicki (Justin) Hook of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Virgil (Christy) of Tennessee; and four sisters, Dorothy Williams of Clear Lake, Ethel Williams of Iowa Falls, Ileen Garnesy of Morning Sun and Joan King of Balton, Minn. Preceded in death by: a sister, Mary Jean Johnson; two brothers, Ralph and Chester; and a son-in-law, William Jones.

Graveside services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi. Public visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester.
