Eagle Grove Man Is Buried; Was Native of Fister, Norway

EAGLE GROVE, Sept. 6—Funeral services for Ole O. Byro, 71 were held on Monday at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. A. G. Oppedahl, and at the East Side Lutheran, church, the Rev. T. J. Severtson, officiating. Burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery; He was born at Fister, Stavanger Norway, and located in Creston on coming to America. In 1894 he was married in Malta, Ill., to Miss Mary Johnson; lived for a time, near Minooka, and later near Lee, Ill.. He came to Wright county in 1910. Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Orin and Ervin, of Eagle Grove; four daughters, Mrs. Stella Oppedahl of Goldfield, Mrs. Berenice Larson of Wesley, Iowa; Mrs. Mildred Gates of Minneapolis and Thelma of Chicago; also by five grandchildren, and one brother Edward Byro of Malta, Ill.
