W. W. WADDELL SERVICES HELD

Masonic Rites for Eagle Grove Man Precede Burial

EAGLE GROVE—Funeral services for Wesley W. Waddell, 65, who died at the Methodist hospital in Des Moines, Monday were held at the funeral home of Kubitschek and Kastler here Wednesday in charge of the Rev. A. S. Kilbourn of the Congregational church. A Masonic service was also held. The burial was made in Rose Hill cemetery, Eagle Grove. Pallbearers were Harry Schoonover, Guy Hinkley, Andy Baldner, Roy Comstock, Stanley Bragdon and Harry Dearth. Mr. Waddell is survived by his wife; two sons, Carl, Denver, Colo., and Robert, Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Charles Isles, Des Moines, and Karleen, Eagle Grove; one brother, Fred Waddell, Huron, S. Dak., and by four sisters, Mrs. Lela Hall, Eagle Grove, Mrs. Anna Stockwell, Long Beach, Cal., Mrs. Elizabeth Purington, Luton, N. Dak., and Mrs. Florence McKay, Burbank, Cal. He was born in Cambridge, Mass., and came to Iowa with the family in 1876 and followed the occupation of a carpenter and builder for many years, until forced to retire on account of ill health. He had received medical attention in the Methodist hospital in Des Moines for over seven months. He was a member of the Eagle Grove Congregational church, the Odd Fellows and of the Masons. The brother, surviving at Huron is the last of nine.
