Guy H. Carlton died in a hospital at Jefferson City, Mo., Tuesday, June 30. About 30 years ago he was associated with M. Armbruster in the plumbing business. He resigned his position with Mr. Armbruster to become salesman on the road for the Gould Pump Co. For the past ten years he had been farming in Canada. Last winter he came back to the United States as a salesman out of Jefferson City, Mo., but expected to return to Canada in August to look after his farming interests. Mr. Carlton was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Carlton, well known Eagle Grove early day citizens. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. G. H. Carlton of Pasadena, California, and one brother, LeRoy H. Carlton of Chicago, and one sister, Mrs. A. Horn of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held in the Foll & Wilson undertaking parlors with W. E. Warnes in charge. The pall bearers were old friends and former associates, F. B. Andrews, J. S. Paine, J. T. Yon, Chas. Elliott, Anton Maser, and L. W. Worthington. Music was furnished by Mrs. E. C. Johnson and Mrs. John Shoenhair with Mrs. W. M. Coons at the piano. Those attending the funeral from out of the city were, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy M. Carlton, Chicago and Mrs. A. Horn, Des Moines.

EAGLE GROVE, July 6—Funeral services for Guy H. Carlton, 56, former resident, who died in Jefferson City, Mo., were held at the funeral parlors of Foil & Wilson Friday afternoon. Wiliam E. Warnes, lay preacher of the Methodist church, conducted the service.
