August 21, 1930Pioneer Tailor in Eagle Grove Buried After Long Illness
EAGLE GROVE, Aug. 21—Albert Seaquist, 91, died at his residence in this city on Monday and funeral services were held at the undertaking parlors in charge of the Rev. James Overby of the Baptist church, Eagle Grove. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery. Mr. Seaqulst was born in Stockholm, Sweden, coming to America in 1879, and was married to Christina Forsland, in Brooklyn, N. Y., in 1882. In 1888 they located in Eagle Grove, where Mr. Seaquist followed the trade of a tailor, and up to the time of his retirement at the age of 83, he was in the employ of Leuthold and Hinkley. In his early life in Sweden he acted as riding master in the King's Guard, for a number of years, and also served as a lieutenant in the Swedish army. He was a member of the Baptist church in Eagle Grove.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Theodore Schaeffer, Eagle Grove; two sons, Albert, Jr., of Eagle Grove; Albin at Corsica, S. Dak., and by 10 grandchildren.
