Funeral Services for M. D. Donovan, Former Eagle Grove Man, Held

EAGLE GROVE, Feb. 23.—Funeral services for M. D. Donovan, 63, who died at the residence of his sister, Miss Mary Donovan, were held at the Sacred Heart church on Monday, in charge of the Rev. Father T. Uolan, and burial was made in Calvary cemetery. Mr. Donovan had farmed near Eagle Grove for a number of years, but of late had occupied a farm near Avoca, Minn, He came to Eagle Grove a few weeks ago for medical treatment. He was married to Miss Margaret McManaman in 1908. Besides the widow he is survived by five children, Joseph, Katherine, Louis, Michael and Madonna; also by three sisters, Ellen Donovan and Mrs. Alice Myles of Los Angeles, Miss Mary Donovan of Eagle Grove and two brothers, Bernard of Anaconda, Montana, and Louis Patrick of Shelby. Montana. He was a son of M. K. Donovan, who was mayor of Eagle Grove for several years.
