Death of Mrs. Wm. Taft

Mrs. Wm. Taft departed this life on Monday morning last, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. D. Ely in this city. Deceased was born in Ohio and came to Iowa about fifty years ago, suffering the privations and hardships of pioneer days. Six children survive. They are A. A. Taft of Clarion, Iowa, George, Robert, Jake, Mrs. Mary Estey and Mrs. B. D. Ely of this city. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the home of B. D. Ely, burial at Mt. Hope.

Mrs. Taft was a good woman who played her part well in the drama of life and is mourned by a large number of relatives and friends.
