Services were conducted for Bert Weland in the Sacquety Chapel, Monday, September 5, 1960 at 2 p.m. at Eagle Grove. Rev. J. T. Jacobsen, officiated at the services. Burial was at Rosehill Cemetery in Eagle Grove, Iowa.

Bert Weland was born October 21, 1884 to Thomas and Sarah Weland in Benton County, Iowa. He was a farmer and mechanic in this vicinity. He was united in marriage to Inger Anderson June 24, 1905 at Clarion, Iowa. He passed away September 3, 1960.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother, 3 sisters and 1 daughter in infancy. He is survived by Inger, his wife and the following children: Selmar of Fort Dodge; Cora, Mrs. J. C. Wier, of Des Moines; Wesley of Indianapolis, Ind.; Bernard of St. Louis, Missouri; Clara, Mrs. A. B. Martin of Tucson, Ariz.; Robert of Chicago, Ill.; Ruth, Mrs. Ruth I. Engleby, Tucson, Ariz.; Kenneth, of Kansas City, Missouri; Doris, Mrs. Edward Michels of Clarion. Also by 4 sisters: Mrs. Clifford Simpson of Eagle Grove; Miss Rose Weland of Cannon City, Colorado; Mrs. Osmund Amoson, of Garner; Mrs. Harold Reynolds of North Hollywood, California. Also by 15 grandchildren.
