DYSART — Lambert Floyd Karpisek, 87, of Dysart, died Wednesday, July 12, at Sunnycrest Care Center, Dysart, following an extended illness. He was born May 14, 1919, west of Wilber, Neb., son of John and Abbie Tachovsky Karpisek. He married Adeline G. Kohout on Oct. 10, 1940. Mr. Karpisek farmed west of Wilber until 1942 when he moved to Clarion, where he farmed for 10 years. In 1953 he moved east of Dysart where he farmed until 1991. He played in the Frank Kune Orchestra in his earlier years.
Survivors include: his wife; a son, Larry (Jean) of Dysart; two daughters, Darlene (Roger) Harder of Keystone and Betty (James) Harrison of Traer; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ernest of Toledo.
Preceded in death by: a grandson, Mark.Private family graveside services: were held in Dysart Cemetery. Overton Funeral Home, Dysart, was in charge of arrangements. Memorials: may be directed to the family. He enjoyed music, traveling and dancing with his Adeline. He was proud to have his son and three grandsons carry on the family farm tradition
