Carol M. Pesch (1931-2007)

WATERLOO — Carol M. Pesch, 75, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. She was born Dec. 3, 1931, in Austin, Minn., daughter of Carl O. and Minda Larson Strom. She married Carl H. Pesch on Dec. 27, 1953, in LeRoy, Minn. He died July 21, 1971. Mrs. Pesch graduated from LeRoy High School, LeRoy, Minn.; attended St. Olaf College; and received her registered nursing degree from the Kahler School of Nursing, Rochester, Minn. She worked at Covenant Medical Center for many years.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janet (David) Wrassmann of Dunedin, Fla., and Linda (Mike) Hurn of Elburn, Ill.; a son, David (Consolacion) Pesch of Santa Maria, Calif.; four grandchildren, Carla (Ryan) Harvey, Andrea Wrassmann, Alan Wrassmann and Courtney Nemmers; three stepgrandchildren, Matt (Anastasia) Hurn, Andrea (Brian) Woodley and Lissa (Scott) Weldon; a sister, Jean Stroud of Eureka, Calif.; two nephews and a niece.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial in Graceland Cemetery, Rowan. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Locke Funeral Home. Memorials: may be directed to the church.
