Myrtle M. Roeding (1929-2007)

CEDAR FALLS — Myrtle M. Roeding, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, May 12, at ManorCare Health Services, Waterloo, of natural causes. She was born July 28, 1929, in Goldfield, daughter of Henry and Estella Keister Johnson. On Feb. 14, 1957, she married Jack Price in Waterloo. He died Dec. 21, 1973. She later married Jack Roeding on May 21, 1979, in Waterloo. Mrs. Roeding received her education in the Eagle Grove schools. She was employed in food service all her life in California and Waterloo where she worked for the Waterloo schools system, retiring in 1980.

Survivors include: her husband; two daughters, Vicky (Mitch) Johnson and Barb (Brian) Cook, both of Grandview, Texas; two sons, Rick (Kelly) Price and Jim Johnson, both of Waterloo; five grandchildren, Amanda, Jeremiah, Heather, Shaun and Angela; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Rhylee; a sister, Faye Johnson of San Diego; and a brother, Leonard (Karen) Johnson of Harpers Ferry. Preceded in death by: six brothers, Pete, Ray, Jake, Bob, Leo and Ed Johnson; and a sister, Donna.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Reformed Church, with burial in Garden of Memories, both in Waterloo. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, an Overton Family Service, Waterloo. Memorials: may be directed to the family.
