Jack Logan, 76, 1201 N. 16th St., died Sunday, Aug. 15, 1999 in St. Mary's Medical Center following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 17, 1923 in Eagle Grove, Iowa and resided in Superior, Wisconsin since 1983. He was an Army veteran. Mr. Logan received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and economics and master of arts degree in school administration. He was employed as a teacher by Maranatha Academy in Superior for several years. He was a member of First Covenant Church and its Sunday School, the American Legion, Christian Association of Prime Timers and Maranatha Academy.

Survivors include two sons, Nicholas (Joanne) Logan, Fenton, Mich., and Maclennan 'Mac' Logan, Columbus, Ohio; a daughter, Laurie (husband Randy Braley) Logan of Malden, Mass.; two granddaughters, Molly and Emily Braley; a brother, Michael (Sarah) Logan, Iowa City, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and children by adoption, Christine, Guy and Luke Logan. The funeral will be held at First Covenant Church at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to First Covenant Church. Downs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
