Raymond J. Carlson, 78, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, in his home after a lengthy illness. Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop, by Pastor Ryan Nilsen. Burial: Fairview Cemetery, Winthrop. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include four sons, Raymond of Castalia, Michael of Mount Auburn, Elmer of Rassdorf, Germany and John of Goldfield; three daughters, JoAnn Teel of Wadena, Jeannette Reekers of Eagle Grove and Laura Thompson of Eagle Grove; three sisters, Agnus Tjaden of Monticello, Margret Hoeck of Independence and Frances Hettinger of Manchester; and a brother, Lester Carlson of Ozark, Mo.
