Melbourne H. Netland, 86, died Wednesday. He was born Dec. 4, 1912, in Eagle Grove, Iowa. A retired ranger for the U.S. Forest Service, he was a goldsmith and silversmith, a 10-year resident of Boulder City [Nevada] and a member of the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Edith of Boulder City; daughter, Ruthann Currence of Monterey, Calif.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Palm Mortuary-Henderson handled arrangements.
