Eby Burial At Belmond

Funeral services for Arthur Eby, 69 who died Monday at the Johnson Nursing home in Eagle Grove, were held Wednesday at the Eyler Funeral home at two o'clock with Rev. Ernest Allen, pastor of the Methodist church in charge. Burial was in Belmond cemetery. Mr. Eby was born in Mason City in 1892, the son of Siemon and Linnie Bates Eby. After the death of his father.he and his mother moved to Belmond, where his mother later married John McIllroth. His mother died in 1935. He continued to live with his step-father, until 1968 when he went to the Jordon Nursing home at Eagle Grove. Survivors include one sister. Mrs. Gwaneth Slater of Eagle Grove and an uncle, Warren Bates of Mason City.
