Cpl. Kaplan Rites Held Tuesday

Funeral services for Marine Lance Cpl. Daniel J. Kaplan, 19, Cedar Rapids, formerly of Dougherty, were held at Dougherty Tuesday at 11:00 a. m. Kaplan was killed in action in Quang Tri, Vietnam February 7. He enlisted in the Marines in September 1966 and was in Vietnam since last October. He is survived by his father, Edward Kaplan of Cedar Rapids, six brothers, three sisters, his paternal grardmother and maternal grandfather. Daniel Kaplan is a nephew of Mildred Kelley of Clarion and cousin of Mrs. LaVern Baldus of Clarion.
