MARIAN LOU SAWALL, 56, of Colorado Springs died April 20, 1992, at a local hospice. She was a homemaker and also had worked in food service in Harrison School District 2. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Road, with the Rev. Harvey Martz officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Swan-Law is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Sawall was born Feb. 15, 1936, in Belmond, Iowa, to Marvin LeRoy and Gladys Mae (Fischer) Wessels. Her mother lives in St. Charles, Ill. She had lived in Colorado Springs since 1959. Mrs. Sawall was married Dec. 8, 1956, in Denver to Robert Sawall, who survives. She also is survived by two sons, Kirk D. and Craig R., both of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Lisa D. Richardson of Colorado Springs; two brothers, Dean Wessels of Mount Prospect, Ill., and Merlin Wessels of Sycamore, Ill.; four sisters, Vera Janikowski of Novato, Calif., Avis Lind of Winnebago, Ill., Rita McInerney of Chicago and Sandra Gleissner of Cary, Ill.; and two grandchildren. She had two brothers, who are deceased. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1445 N. Union Blvd., B100, Colorado Springs 80909.
