A. Loux Rites Will Be Thursday

Alfred Loux, 60, died Monday noon at the Clarion Memorial hospital, where he had been a patient for the past nine weeks following a stroke. Funeral services will be at the Congregational church Thursday at 2:00 p.m. He is survived by one brother, Arthur of Clarion and one sister, Mrs. P. A. Hilpipre, also of Clarion. He was a lifelong resident of Wright county. He was a World War I veteran and a member of the American Legion.

Alfred Loux, 60, Buried Thursday

Funeral services for Alfred Edward Loux, were held Thursday afternoon in the Congregational church with Rev. R. Lee Parcell officiating. Special music was furnished by Mrs. Wayne Ebert and Mrs. Wesley Phillips, Pall bearers were Keith Loux, Marvin Hilpipre Lloyd Loux, Loren Loux, Donald Loux and Archie Claude. Military services were held at the cemetery and interment was in the French cemetery near Woolstock.

Alfred Edward Loux son of John Theophile and Anna Loux, was born June 19, 1893. He passed away in the Community Memorial hospital at Clarion on Aug. 31, 1953, at the age of 60 years, 2 months and 12 days. He was baptized into the French Lutheran church in Woolstock township. His education was received in Wright county school system. After this he farmed with, his father until he was called into service on July 22, 1918. His service overseas was with the 138th infantry. When he returned from service he farmed with his brother, Arthur for two years in Lincoln township. His farming was continued in Wall Lake township where he lived until his retirement 12 years ago at which time he moved to Clarion. Since that time he has lived in the house to which he moved. His sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hilpipre were keeping house for him at the time of his death. He was a member of the American Legion of Clarion, He is survived by one sister, Fannie Hilpipre, and one brother, Arthur of Clarion; 16 nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, one sister, Caroline and two brothers David and John.
