BELMOND - Louise (Dorenkamp) Larson, died Monday (May 22, 2000) at the Belmond Health Care Center, where she was a resident since January of 2000. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Immanuel Reformed Church, Belmond, with the Rev. Robert Ford officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Church Cemetery, Belmond. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Tenold Funeral Home, Belmond, is in charge of arrangements.
Louise (Dorenkamp) Larson, the daughter of Jacob and Stientje (Stadtlander) Dorenkamp, was born Jan. 14, 1913, north of Belmond. In 1920 the family moved southeast of Goodell, where Louise attended the Goodell School. On Sept. 11, 1935, she was united in marriage to Harry Larson at Klemme. They farmed in the Goodell and Klemme areas for several years, and later farmed in Wright County. In 1952 they moved to Belmond. Louise was a member of the Immanuel Reformed Church.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Harry in 1983; sisters, Sophia Ainger, Hannah Sharp, Bena Rubendall, and Fannie Sandry; brothers, Carl Dorenkamp, Jake Dorenkamp, and Steve Dorenkamp. Tenold Funeral Home.
