Dr. John Patrick Welsh, 51. of Sierra Vista, Arizona, died on Sunday, September 24, 2006. A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 30, at the Windemere Hotel, Sierra Vista, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the charity of their choice.

John Patrick Welsh, was born on November 13, 1954 in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Maurice and Lois Welsh. He was raised in Northwood and graduated from the Northwood-Kensett High School in 1973. He was involved in track, wrestling and cross country. He was a state champion pole vaulter and wrestler. On March 19. 1976, he and Carol Ann Stevenson were united in marriage in Osage. Shortly after they were married they moved to Los Angeles, California, where John attended the Cleveland Chiropractic College. After graduation, he opened his first practice in Clarion where he worked until he relocated to Sierra Vista, Arizona in 1995 and opened Welsh Chiropractic. John enjoyed flying and riding horses with his wife and daughters.

John is survived by his wife, Carol of Sierra Vista, Arizona; two daughters, Nicole and Roslyn of Sierra Vista, Arizona; mother, Lois Welsh of Northwood; one brother, Dr. James Welsh of Northwood; two sisters, Cris Wells of Peoria, Arizona and Dr. Gayle King of Green Valley. Arizona; two brothers-in-law, Dr. Laurence Wells and Dr. Robert King; and five nieces and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Maurice; and aunt, Maxine Philipps.
