Mrs. Raymond (Beulah) Mathre, 81, Minneapolis, Minn., died Tuesday, June 18 at the Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis. Mrs. Mathre was born June 23, 1903 in Clarion, Iowa, to Carl and Martha (Olson) Anfinson. She married the Rev. Raymond Mathre. She served as a missionary from 1934 to 1974 in Cameroun, Wes Africa with the American Lutheran Church and was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Minneapolis. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. (Marianne) Nack of Minneapolis; two grandsons Bryon and Kevin Nack; and a sister Cora Egemo of Story City, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Helmar Lutheran Church with the Rev. Harold Masted officiating. Burial was in the Helmar Cemetery. Soloist was Virgil Duvick accompanied by Stephanie Davidson. Pallbearers were Ole Duvick, Richard Niles, Lowell Mathre, Richard Mathre, John Akre and Jerald Johnson. Arrangements were by Larson-Gabel Funeral Home.
