1929-2007

Memorial services for Shirley Grace Sadowski, 77 of Lompoc, will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2007 at the chapel of Starbuck-Lind Mortuary under the auspices of La Purisima Catholic Church. Burial will be private at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. She passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, at the age of 77. Shirley was born December 14, 1929 in Belmond, Iowa. Raised and educated in Racine, Wisconsin, she came to Lompoc in 1977. She spent most of her adult life as the loving caretaker of her husband Robert Sadowski. As a member of the La Purisima Catholic Church, her faith was a major part of her life. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and took great pride in all of their accomplishments. She enjoyed long walks with friends, all things Hawaiian, and spending time in her beautifully maintained garden.

Shirley is survived by her sons, David Vallone of Santa Barbara, Mark Sadowski and wife Kelly and Kurt Sadowski and wife Maggie, all of Lompoc; sister, Mary Willis of Racine, Wisconsin; and four grandchildren, Matthew, Alexander, Brigette, and Anders Sadowski. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert and son David C. Vallone. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 604 East Ocean Avenue, Lompoc, CA 93436.
