Funeral services for Cora B. Parsons, 96, Humboldt, were held Tuesday, March 3, at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Humboldt, with burial in the St. Olaf Cemetery at Bode. She died Saturday, Feb. 29, 1992 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital, following a short illness. The Sievers-Laufersweiler Funeral Home of Humboldt was in charge of the arrangements, with the Rev. Paul Otto and the Rev. Robert Molldrem officiating. Casketbearers were Jon Frohling, Donald Parsons, Don Logue, Robert Parsons, William Tideback, and Larry S. Parsons. Honorary casketbearers were Kimberly Frohling, Terry Anderson, Karen Lange, Kristina Huth, Diane Westphal, Michael Tideback, Gary Westphal, Dennis Lange, and June Ann Parsons.

Survivors include two sons, Claire Parsons of Humboldt and Larry Parsons of Sarver, PA; three daughters, Violet Frohling of Eagle Grove, Frances Tideback of Burbank, CA, and Doris Logue of Humboldt; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Agnes Roberts of Belmond and Mildred Bohl of Marble Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward; three brothers; and six sisters.

Cora Kinseth, daughter of Christian and Beata Kinseth, was born July 11, 1895 at Bode. She was united in marriage to Edward H. Parsons in 1917, and they lived in Bode, Swea City, Algona and Humboldt. She lived in the same home for 57 years, living the past 19 months at the Long-Term Care Unit of the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital.She was a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church.
