BELMOND — Linda Jeanette (Jurgens) Sheehan, 50, died Sunday (Sept. 27, 1998) at the Belmond Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Bethany Reformed Church with the Rev. Melvin Voss and the Rev. Herman Gruis, officiating. Interment will be in the Belmond Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Tenold Funeral Home, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy may direct them to the Bethany Reformed Church in Belmond.

Linda Jeanette (Jurgens) Sheehan, the daughter of Lloyd and Frieda (Wiemann) Jurgens was born Jan. 26, 1948, at Hampton. She was united in marriage to Nick Sheehan on Aug. 26, 1966.
Linda enjoyed her work at the Belmond Community Hospital where she served 23 years, with many of those years as dietary manager. She was a faithful member of the Bethany Reformed Church and a member of the RCWM, and loved to play the piano and sing. Linda especially enjoyed her family, her church, hospital service and her many friends.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Nick, of Belmond; sons Chris and Matt Sheehan of Belmond; daughter, Melissa Sheehan of San Antonio, Texas; her mother, Frieda Jurgens of Belmond; brothers, Lynn Jurgens and his wife, Becky, of Forest City, and Dennis Jurgens and his wife, Jane, of Winterset; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her father, Lloyd Jurgens, and her sister, Beverly.
