Nellie Mae Paul, 94, of Clarion, died Saturday (Dec. 27, 1997) at the Clarion Health Care Center. The body was donated to the University of Iowa for medical research. There are no services scheduled at this time. Willim Funeral Home in Clarion is in charge of arrangements.

Nellie was born Dec. 28, 1903. Survivors include two sons, Keith Alverson, Eustes, Fla., and Oscar Alverson, Alamagordo, N.M.; five daughters, Alberta Holm, of Tripola, Esther Schaefer, of Valencia, Calif., Gloria Alverson, of Des Moines, Marcy Downing and Mardell Dean, both of Clarion; 15 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, three brothers and three children.
