BELMOND -- Ruth A. Woodin, 97, died Thursday (Oct. 31, 1996) at the Belmond Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at the United Church of Christ Congregational Church, with the Rev. Bill Mulford officiating. She has willed her body to the University of Iowa Medical School for research. Interment will be at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. There will be no visitation. Tenold Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family would like memorials directed to the Ruth Woodin Memorial Fund.

Ruth A. Woodin was born Nov. 4, 1898, in Norway Township, Wright County. Survivors include one daughter, Dorothy Bloomfield of Monument, Colo.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one brother, Kenneth Sheplee of Cokato, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and one brother.
