07/09/1996Maurice Rush Marshall, 66, of Clarion, died Sunday (July 7, 1996) at home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Belmond, with the Rev. Stanley Watne officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, with military rites by the Clarion American Legion and VFW. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Maurice Rush Marshall was born July 6, 1930, at Clarion. Survivors include his wife, Kay, of Clarion; three daughters, Deb Janssen, Diane DeVries and Lisa Marshall, all of Clarion; two sons, Mike Marshall and Kevin Marshall, both of Clarion; five grandchildren; six sisters, Maxine Spencer of Nevada; Betty Fibikar of Dows; Theresa Hollebrands, Des Moines; Mary Ann Gathman of Oelwein; Inez Hanig of Waterloo, and Phyllis Zwiefel of Clarion; and two brothers, Robert Marshall and Daryl Marshall, both of Clarion. He was preceded in death by his parents.
