CLARION — Merlyn Julius Christensen, 36, of Clarion, died Monday (Oct. 20, 1997) at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines, of injuries suffered earlier in the day at Asgrow in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holmes Baptist Church, Holmes, with the Rev. Pat Nemmers officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion.

Merlyn Julius Christensen was born on March 6, 1961, at Iowa Falls. Survivors include his wife, Trisha Christensen of Clarion; sons, Timothy Johnson and Nathan Christensen, at home; father, Merlyn R. Christensen of Clarion; mother, Carole Christensen of Clarion; two brothers, Dan Christensen of Waterloo; Steven Christensen of Clarion; and one sister, LaVonne Schroder of Clarion.
