CLARION — Lena E. Ammerman, 92, formerly of Dows, died Friday (Dec. 25, 1998) at the Clarion Health Care Center. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dows United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Turner officiating. Burial will be in the Alexander Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion.

Lena Ethel Martin was born near Rowan on June 16, l906. Survivors include her children, Lyle of Clarion, Melvin and Donald of Dows, Ronald of Grand Island, Neb., Robert of Tulsa, Okla., Betty Hilpipre of Homer, Ill., and LaVonne Maxwell of Clarion; 19 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, a sister, two children and a grandson.
