Jerry L. Murphy, 67, of Clarion died Saturday (Dec. 6, 1997) at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minn. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Wayne Droessler officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. Monday at Willim Funeral Home. There will be a vigil service at 7 p.m., with a Knights of Columbus Rosary to follow.

Gerald Lawrence Murphy was born Aug. 11, 1930, in Webster City. Survivors include his wife, Joan of Clarion; five children, Diana Henninger of Clarion, Mike of Altoona, Michele Leininger of Bonner Springs, Kan., Linda Murphy of Goldfield, and Bob of Clarion; five grandchildren; his mother, Odelia Murphy of the Clarion Care Center; two brothers, Jim Murphy of Hayes, Kan., and Denny Murphy of Clarion; two sisters, Marge Dahlgren of Clarion and Shirley Berens of Pleasant Hill. He was preceded in death by his father.
