Ila L. Wiarda, 87, of Dows, died Sunday (Jan. 12, 1997) at the Franklin General Hospital Extended Care Unit, Hampton. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Dows United Methodist Church, with the Rev. James Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Dows. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Ila L. Wiarda was born Oct. 6, 1909, in Galt. Survivors include her husband, Irving of Dows; three sons, Irving Jr. of Dows, Marlin of Aurora, Neb., and Merlyn of Dows; two sisters, Vernabelle Collins of Warren, Mich., and Ardith Trousdale of Iowa Falls; one brother, Everett Cundall of Dows; 10 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
