BELMOND -- Orra Glenn Morris, 93, passed away Monday (Sept. 2, 1996) at the Belmond Health Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Church of Christ Congregational, with the Rev. William Mulford officiating. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Rowan. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Dugger-Ewing Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services Thursday at the church. Dugger-Ewing Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Glenn was born June 20, 1903, in Belmond, the son of David and Mabel Keeling Morris. He grew up in the Belmond area where he attended country schools, graduating from Belmond High School in 1922. On Feb. 16, 1927, he was united in marriage with Ruby LaGue in Rowan. The couple made their home southwest of Belmond where Glenn farmed and also sold Archer's Oil for many years. In 1987, the couple moved into Belmond. On Oct. 20, 1993, Glenn entered the Belmond Health Care Center. He was a member of the United Church of Christ and the Odd Fellows.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby; one son, Derl and his wife, Betty, of Belmond; five grandchildren, Lindsey, Kerry, Brian, RoxAnne and Valarie; three stepgrandchildren, Rick, David and Dennis Welsh; one brother, Francis and his wife, Viola, of Belmond; two sisters-in-law, LaVonne Morris of Albert Lea, Minn., and Esther LaGue of Mason City; and one brother-in-law, Gerald Knight of Rowan. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Gordon; and one brother, Dewain.
