Herbert “Herb” M. DeLano Jr., 46 of 965 Boston Way, Coralville died on Friday, July 4, 2003 unexpectedly. Visitation will be on Wednesday at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service- 605 Kirkwood Iowa City from 2:00 until 5:00 pm with the service being held at 5:00pm Wednesday. Burial will be in the Clarion Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Herbert M. DeLano memorial fund.

Herb was born May 6, 1957 the son of Herbert M. and Betty DeLano. He was raised in Fonda, Iowa. He attended Iowa Central Community College in Ft. Dodge. He worked for the University of Iowa Power Plant as a Chief Boiler Operator. He was employed for the University for over twenty years. He is survived by his father, Herb DeLano, Sr. of White River, AZ; by three sisters and one brother; many nieces and nephews and special friends Darci and Zak; as well as his cat “Ahab”.
