Carolyn M. Brandt, 80, of Clarion, died Monday (Feb. 3, 1997) at the Clarion Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Church of Christ with Mark Young officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 3 p.m. today with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Willim Funeral Home.

Carolyn M. Brandt was born April 19, 1916, in Altoona. Survivors include one daughter, Judy Thompson of Clarion; one son, Gary D. Brandt of Clarion; one sister, Frances Iverson of Fort Dodge; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Carolyn Iseminger was born April 10 [19], 1916, to Doris and Ora Iseminger. She attended rural schools, and graduated from Dows High School in 1935. She married Elmer Brandt on June 12, 1937, at her parents' home near Dows, Iowa. She and her husband farmed near Altoona, Dows, Rowan, and Clarion until retirement, when they moved into Clarion. She was known widely throughout the Wright County area for her expertise as a seamstress, working from home. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Clarion, and a long time member of the rural Friendly Neighbors Club.

Carolyn Brandt died Monday, February 3, 1997, at the age of 80.

Survivors include a son, Gary Brandt, and a daughter, Judy Thompson, both of Clarion; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Frances Iverson, Fort Dodge. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Elmer, in 1989; and a sister, Jean.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 7, 1997, at the Church of Christ in Clarion, with Mark Young officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery in Clarion. Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, was in charge of arrangements.
