BELMOND - Donald D. Dorr, 91, of Belmond passed away Wednesday (Aug. 15, 2001) at the Belmond Health Care Center in Belmond. Memorial services for Donald D. Dorr will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Friday at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Belmond. Father David Beckman will officiate. Inurnment will take place in the St. Francis Cemetery in Belmond. There will be no visitation. Dugger Ewing Funeral Home in Belmond is in charge of arrangements.

Donald, the son of Albert and Nellie Fulton Dorr, was born June 28, 1910, in Belmond. Don grew up in Belmond where he attended the Belmond schools. Don began working with his father and brothers in A.R. Dorr Sons Construction. Donald was united in marriage to Mildred Klinefelter on Nov. 26, 1942, in Belmond. The couple made their home in Belmond where he continued to work in construction. He retired in 1977. Don enjoyed tinkering on things in the basement, building and flying kites and fishing. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church where he is remembered for ushering with his twin brother, Duane.

Don is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Doug and his wife, Carol, of St. Peters, Mo.; one brother, Larry and his wife, Doris, of Belmond; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and seven brothers. Dugger Ewing Funeral Home.
