Mary Mourlam, 100, Webster City
Mary Mourlam, 100 years, 4 months and 16 days, of Webster City, died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at Crestview Senior Living. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Rev. Scott Boone presiding. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the Mass on Wednesday.
Mary Sadie Sann, daughter of Edward and Eugenie Benoit Sann, was born December 27, 1906 on a farm south of Clarion. On Dec. 27, 1927, she married Louis Jonathan Mourlam at Webster City. The couple farmed east of Woolstock. After 47 years of farming, they retired in 1974, moving to Webster City. Mr. Mourlam died Dec. 19, 1989. She moved to Crestview Apartments in 1990.
Mrs. Mourlam is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Virgil and Marcella Mourlam of Woolstock; Louis and Beverly Mourlam of Ames; daughters and son-in-law, Darlene Settles of Brandon, FL; Donna and Ralph Moore of Ames; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Freda O’Connor of Des Moines; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; son, Duane Mourlam, January of 2007; daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Gus Horn; brothers, Ernest and Amos Sann; sisters, Jane Adams and Lela Sann.
