Geneva A. Siemens, 94, of Traer died Sunday, April 25, 1999, at Sunrise Hill Care Center in Traer following an extended illness. Private graveside services will be held Friday, April 30, 1:30 pm at Buckingham Cemetery, rural Traer. There is no visitation.

Geneva Alice Siemens was born July 15, 1904, at Rowan, IA, the daughter of Joseph E. and Jessie A. (Bates) Green. Geneva received her education in rural Tama County and graduated from Traer High School. On June 18, 1923, she was united in marriage to Roy Siemens at New Hampton and the couple farmed near Traer for many years and Geneva was a homemaker. In 1947 they moved to town and Roy continued to work on area farms. Following Roy's death Nov. 1, 1992, Geneva continued to make her home in Traer and only recently became a resident at Sunrise Hill Care Center.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband and three brothers, Elmer, Roy and a brother in infancy. Geneva is survived by one sister, Thelma White of Traer. Overton Family Funeral Home, Traer, is in charge of arrangements.
