LaVerne D. Ingebritson, 83, of Hampton, formerly of Dows, died Sunday, July 9, 2000, at Franklin General Nursing Facility in Hampton. Services will be held Wednesday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton, with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Richard Davis, Lyle Schober and Bryan Hanson will officiate.
LaVerne was born April 6, 1917, at Dows, to Amos and Ida Larson Ingebritson. He attended rural Dows schools and in September 1956, he married Jane Ruyter. They farmed near Dows until moving to Hampton in 1982. He enjoyed working on gas engines and tractors and enjoyed the outdoors and his pets.
He is survived by his wife, Jane, of Hampton; and a sister, Helen Patten and husband, Herman, of Fredericksburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a sister.
