HAMPTON-Everett I. Fleming, 88, of Hampton, died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at the Sioux Rapids Care Center in Sioux Rapids. Services were held Friday, March 23 at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton, with burial in the Morgan Center Cemetery, rural Dows. Rev. Wilbert Trusheim officiated. Everett was born July 20, 1912, at Williams, to Walter and Emma Robertson Fleming. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and on June 6, 1943, he married Fern Capellan in Dows. After her death he married Dorothy Simonsen on June 6, 1984, at Sioux Rapids. He owned his own farm equipment business and was a mechanic. Everett was a member of the Hampton United Methodist Church and the Mason Anchor Lodge No. 191.
Everett is survived by a sister, Dorothy Bessman of Alden, and a brother, Birch Fleming of Roland. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two wives. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home of Hampton, was in charge of arrangements.
