Bernard King Haugner passed away on May 3, 2004. He was born December 11, 1919 in Goldfield, Iowa, survived by his wife of 60 years, Margaret "Peg" Haugner and by sons, Richard and James, daughter-in-law, Sandra and granddaughter Cristina and also his brother Richard A. Haugner and family. King was raised in the East Bay, graduating from Piedmont High School and Heald Business College. His career centered in the Bay Area where he was prominent in the paint industry. King and Peg raised their family in Kensington where he was active in Boy Scouts and local recreation. They moved on retirement to Oakmont in Santa Rosa and King joined the Tennis Club, Lawn Bowlers and SIRS Branch 53. He was also active in his Homeowners Assn., golfing and belonged to the CAL Alumni Club of Oakmont. Friends and family are invited to honor his memory at lunch on Monday, May 24th at 12:00 p.m. Noon at Wild Oak Saddle Club, 550 White Oak Dr., Santa Rosa.
