Mildred "Sissy" Wacker, 94, died on Wednesday, October 9, 2002, at the Franklin General Hospital, Hampton. Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 12, at the Hampton United Methodist Church, with burial in the Hampton Cemetery. Mildred was born on February 17, 1908 in Belmond, the daughter of Charles and Tillie Tomson Peterson. She graduated from the Hampton High School and the Iowa State Teacher's College (UNI). She married H. "Jeff" Wacker in 1946. She is survived by a sister, Veon Rule of Hampton.
